Reservations are highly recommend. You'd be lucky to find an available table at lunch time if you just walk in. We saw locals willingly waiting for more than 30 minutes for lunch, but it's well worth the wait. The lunch menu is just under 16 Euros, and it included wine and desserts.

Lunch in bilbao the dining room on the upper floor in this restaurant in bilbaos old town was booked on Tuesday from native to the midday so that we had to sit down in the bar area. the $14.50 menu del dia was really fantastic with many great options to choose (eight primero platos, nine segundo platos and eight postres) and also included a bottle of wine or a bottle of water. we loved the busy atmosphere in the bar and we really enjoyed our lunch.

Another good find in Bilbao Old City ... for lunch they had a €16 three course meal with some good selections...the mushroom risotto was yummy, along with the shrimp on skewers for a first course...the medallions were interesting and the fish was good...but what blew me away was the Tiramisu...WOW! I would go back here just to get this fabulous dessert.
