Bidrage med feedbackWe were staying close by and decided to walk to this restaurant on our first evening. Having arrived around 20:00 we were surprised that there was no one else dining. We shared the antipasto which was good and then I had a wonderful spinach and Gorgonzola pappardelle dish while my husband had ravioli followed by a mixed grill. A good bottle of Nero d'avola to complement the food and we were very happy. The staff were attentive and friendly. At the end of that week we returned at a later time and realised that people only started to arrive for dinner around 22:00 . Again we enjoyed a great meal. On the last evening of our holiday we chose to eat here and this time both of us had pizzas which were truly delicious. We were warmly welcomed as returning patrons and sitting out on their terrace with the buzz of many families and couples enjoying the good food and wine brought our time in Sicily to a lovely conclusion.
We went into Modica to find a restaurant to eat for the evening but nothing seemed to catch our attention. So we headed back to the Villa, a couple of the other villa 's said that the restaurant was good, so we thought we would give a go. We arrived a little sceptical as we had difficulty opening the door thinking that they were closed but the door was soon opened by the owner. but we were still not totally sure as there was no one else in the place. Despite the absence of others we decided to eat as we were very hungry. I ordered the risotto alla Marinara and my wife ordered the Tanglatelli alla funghi porcini. I learnt through a mixture of my poor Italian and some sign language that the risotto would take some time. I chose some local Sicilian wine which proved to be perfect. We were not worried about the time and after half an hour our meals arrived. mine was filled with sea food which accompanied the perfectly cooked rice and the sauce had a paprika taste and complimented them both. The tanglatelli was also beautifully cooked too and the mushrooms in the cream sauce were perfectly cooked. Although we tried to finish the dishes they both beat us and we were soon full. The owner waited patiently and we realised it was almost 10:15pm but he asked if we would like to try 'dolce alla sisciliana ' in either lemon or mango. I had no idea what we had asked for but they were a lemon and a mango mouse both of which were delicious too. It is a small out of the way restaurant but well worth a visit and the meal with wine and water was only 40 euros I cant fault it in any way whatsoever. If you get the chance it 's well worth a visit although they are not open Monday or Tuesday night and then only after 8pm as like many Italians they always tend to eat late. As the Italian 's say it was 'Molto Beuno '
