Kenny D's Beach Grill - MIRAMAR BEACH

Honestly quite surprised- the food was great with a large menu and great selection. Service was on point and friendly. It was quite casual- not a fancy dining establishment by any means but also they aren’t trying to be. It’s a great beach lunch spot.

I got the surf surf it was my favorite things I ate on vacation. Now this is our must eat when we go on vacations.

We sat down and before we ever got served their was a cockroach scurrying across the wall. We left.

The fried clams platter was over cooked. The soft shell crabs were very small but okay. The fried oysters were okay, but not a lot of flavor. However, the fried grouper platter has a reasonable sized piece of fish only slightly deeper cooked than I 'd expect, but it was actually pretty good. The French fries were not very good (but, that 's partially due to it being take out) and the hush puppies were gummy and not good. Additionally, this is the ONLY place (out of 6 take out restaurants all same level or nicer) that mandated 15% tip on take out and they were VERY rude about it. They don 't add it themselves but after we 'd signed and we 're walking out, they were like hey! We expect everyone who did take out to do 15%! This after ignoring us for 10 minutes. Very rude. We won 't be going back.

We had dinner here during our vacation , in August, despite negative reviews about rude waitress and management. We certainly were glad we did. Not only was our meal delicious, our server, Ellie, was a total sweetheart and her service was attentive and efficient. We had hush puppies, oysters with parmesan and garlic, surf and turf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely above average standards. You can tell they are extra with their meal prep and the food is homemade and prepared with love. I really wanted to go back the next night, as it was our last but I was out voted by the majority of our group, so we went to captain Dave's, across the street. They also had karaoke that night and the dj and singers were great! Wait time was entertaining!
