Red Horse Tavern Llc - Middleburg

We’ve had enjoyable meals at Red Horse Tavern in the past, but our experience with the burgers today was disappointing. We ordered them rare and extra rare (which the server confirmed with the kitchen — it was even noted on the bill — and reiterated when our order was delivered), but they arrived well done. Had the server checked in with us to see if everything was to our liking, we would have pointed out the mistake, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. It seems there was some carelessness in the kitchen. On a brighter note, the brownie a la mode was absolutely delicious, our server consistently refilled our iced teas, and the umbrella-covered tables on the deck provided a lovely spot to relax and watch the world go by.

The only concern we had was receiving our check, but all it took was for us to go up and ask for it. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic! We never felt rushed; we could eat, talk, and linger as long as we wanted. It reminded me of dining in Europe, where the focus is on relaxation and enjoyment. Nice place and has excellent food. Wings and the sampler were great tasting. We also had a steak and cheese sub and it was good. The best part was the service. Servers there work together as a team rather than assigned tables. I think all restaurants should adopt this. There was a sign in the entrance about being patient and being nice to servers, frankly speaking, they should get rid of that because they were fantastic! There was no reason not to be patient with them we were approached by several of them to check on us and we never had to wait when we needed something. I would visit again.
