Rubio's Coastal Grill - Mesa

I recently tried the fish taco especial at Rubio's and was pleasantly surprised by the large, juicy pieces of fish. Despite some difficulties finding the restaurant, the unique layout of the shopping center made it convenient to access Rubio's both from inside and outside the mall. The self-serve salsa bar is back, with the delicious jalapeno lime salsa being a highlight. The chips were crispy and perfectly salted, making for a tasty accompaniment to the fish tacos. While they may not be the best I've ever had, they provided a reliable and satisfying flavor, especially for on-the-go dining. The restaurant offers a wide variety of options for all dietary preferences, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, a pleasant experience with some unique touches that set it apart from other fast casual chains.

One of my favorite dishes here is the Shrimp Trio platter, which comes with tortilla chips or greens and dressing. The tacos are consistently hot and fresh, which I appreciate. This restaurant also seems to provide more chips than others, which is a nice touch.

A nice step change. Good food. I tried a shrink bowl. It was pretty good and filled. There were six in our group, and everyone seemed happy with their choice.

I am a big fan of Rubio's and have dined at several of their locations in California and Arizona. The service, food, and atmosphere are always excellent. In my opinion, their guacamole is the best out of all the chain restaurants. The guacamole at this particular location was fantastic. My California bowl with plump shrimp was incredibly delicious and healthy. The service provided by Assistant Manager Michael and Server Jade was top-notch. They are friendly professionals with excellent communication skills. The dining area is clean and comfortable, and there are plenty of parking spaces in the large shopping center. I highly recommend Rubio's.

So delicious! their 3 taco plate is a great deal and makes a perfect lunch. so impressed—i’ve had rubio’s three days in a row now!
