The menu is always changing, which makes each experience a new one. The food is beautifully crafted onthe plate and palate alike, not too much nor too little. And highly recommend the desert, especially the Salted Caramel Bar withthe lemon mousse! It's superb!
I was visiting from Seattle. My brother and his wife took us here. We ordered almost the whole menu and loved every bite. The Beet Hummus and Bacon wrapped dates are delicious. It was a wonderful spot to hang out and relax. The staff took care of us likewe were family.
Seasonal Menu Alert: Board and Batten was fantastic from beginning to end. My fiancé, her parents, and I visited recently and were warmly welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I ordered a drink called Penicillin, which had a delightful balance of ginger and Scotch. Next, we enjoyed a beautifully crafted house focaccia served with fig mostarda. For my main course, I had the seasonal off-menu Australian Wagyu paired with gnocchi and spinach. The Wagyu was cooked to perfection, just the way I like it—medium rare. You could definitely tell the gnocchi was made fresh. To finish, we shared an almond cake, which had a lovely almond flavor that was nicely complemented by strawberries and lime cream. Overall, the experience was excellent, and I highly recommend that everyone should come here.
This restaurant consistently delivers an outstanding experience. After taking a break in July, Board and Batten is back in action. The PEI mussels were absolutely incredible—rich and complex flavors in the tomato-based sauce, and the mussels were cooked to perfection. B&B also serves the best Paloma in town. Despite being around for a while, B&B remains a wonderful addition to the East Valley.
I had an incredible experience! Every aspect was carefully planned, from the cocktails and appetizers to the main courses and desserts. There wasn't a single dish that I didn't enjoy. The front-of-house manager was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the cocktail menu, providing great explanations for all the dishes. The atmosphere was fantastic as well. I will definitely return! I’m looking forward to enjoying the outdoor patio once the weather is nice again in Mesa, Arizona.
