Third Base - Marquette

I mean, The Base . Come on. If you know, you know. If you are reading reviews, then go find out. Ice cold long necks and a chill crowd.

I’ve given the base 3 chances in leu of their baseball theme and I do have to say it’s 3 strikes and they are OUT. On 3 different occasions, months apart with 3 different bartenders they have managed to make me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. They do have cheap drinks and good deals, I’m sure the owners are great as well but they should really look harder into hiring bartenders who are capable of kindness and hospitality. Will NEVER be coming back.

Immediately upon sitting down at the bar the lady was very rude. I asked for a menu and with a snide look on her face she said no. Would not recommend unless you are a local and they know who you are because it seemed like all locals were in that night and she didn't care to be polite to anyone she didn't recognize.

If i could give this place zero stars i would. the bartender on july 27th 2022 11pm is the worst bartender in the service industry that i have ever came across and i have been in the serving industry since i was 18. i am very disappointed with my visit

The short blonde girl and the older woman were super rude. Super belittling about the Michigan state law stating you can 't bring drinks to the outside of the front of the bar. When I explained I didn 't know and that I was sorry, they condescended to me, and said they dumped my drink after saying outside, you can have it back when you come inside . Did not ID me upon arrival to begin with. Short blonde hid behind the bar from me when I asked to cash out and leave. No signage outside stating this is a law anyway. They were super condescending towards my LGBTQ+ identifying friend as well. Very homophobic undertones and bad vibes. Do not recommend at all and will be contacting the state liquor commission about the lack of ID check on arrival.
