Phoenix Restaurant - Markham

Our first time to this location and it seemed quieter than the woodbine location. Food is the same and as usual, they have one of the best HK milk teas around.

We had a family dinner here after watching my nephew play hockey at the arena close by. There were seven of us and we were seated right away. The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Sunday night so that helped.We ordered a large number of dishes and the service was very fast and very good. We ordered some dishes including the beef with beans and shrimp with beans and asked for them spicy...they don't mess around! They were great and really got the sweat going...love it! We had my ravenous nephew to thank for the sheer number of dishes we ordered and we were very happy with all of them. Will definitely be back here as there will be more games coming up!

I come to this place for quick food, usually this place is loud, might be due to lot of customer, not a good place for coffee and relax type of lunch. but if you just want to has some chinese food this is fine.

We often frequent this restaurant because it is very conveniently located near the ETR407. The food is one of the best among HongKong style fast food restaurants but pricing is at a premium. As usually with Hong Kong style cafe restaurants, the choice is enormous and this restaurant never disappoints me. The food are served within minutes once you placed your order. Don't expect any good service from the servers as they are always very busy and they never smile. On a weekend, it may be difficult to find a spot for parking and also long line in waiting. They will give out a call number on a piece of paper and sometimes it may take more than 40 minutes to wait for a table. If you are in a hurry, don't go there on weekends.

We were at this restaurant for lunch today. we arrived past 1pm and the restaurant was half full. one of the waiters (with a little pony tail at the back of his head) walked by us casually and told us to wait and walked on. He continued to walk about while we waited there with plenty of tables available. Later a lady came over to gesture us to sit at a table. (this is a Chinese Hong Kong style restaurant so any waiter or waitress can seat people)I ordered the Hai Nan Chicken Rice and my husband chicken & rice in garlic and honey sauce. He thought the dish was not hot enough but didn't say anything to the restaurant. Around 3pm he complained that he was dizzy and had to lie down. Turned out he had the food poisoning symptoms and spent the whole evening going to washroom, throwing up and lying down there, etc. Since the chicken was covered in dark brown sauce he didn't see if it was fully cooked but since it wasn't hot when it was served, it made us wonder if the meat was thoroughly cooked after all.it's a convenient location for us and lots of choices on the menu. would have been a good place for us to eat more often but sadly, will not be the case.
