Bidrage med feedbackFor our mains, we enjoyed garlic naan, Saag with lamb, and Rogan Josh with lamb. We ordered our dishes at a medium heat level, but I found them to be on the milder side. Nevertheless, the flavors in these entrees were even more impressive than the Samosa! The lamb was cooked to a tender, "melt-in-your-mouth" texture in both dishes, and the seasoning made our taste buds dance with joy. The garlic naan was the perfect accompaniment for soaking up the last bites of Basmati rice and sauce, infused with a vibrant mix of cumin, ginger, and turmeric. We kept our drinks simple with just water, which the attentive staff made sure was always filled. We decided to skip dessert, although honestly, I’m not sure if any were listed on the menu. Not to worry, though – if you're looking for something sweet afterward, Patsy’s Ice Cream and Candy Shop is conveniently located just across the street, and it’s worth a visit. The portions, presentation, and service all matched the incredible flavors of the food. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the decor was understated, contributing nicely to the overall authenticity of the experience. Whether you’re already a fan of Indian cuisine or just looking to try something new, make sure to visit Babu's in Manitou – and arrive hungry! It was the best "accidental" discovery I've made in quite some time, and the prices were reasonable even after adding a generous tip. Treat your taste buds and add Babu’s to your dining bucket list!
The food is absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend trying the samosas. The waitstaff is very polite and genuinely cared about our dining experience. I will definitely be returning.
After living in Asia for 33 years and visiting Nepal and India numerous times, I can confidently say that Babu is a fantastic restaurant. We tried the samosas, murg vindaloo, and saag paneer, and everything was excellent. The food was so good that we decided to order takeout as well. This place is genuine and truly puts in excellent effort. My wife, who is Singaporean and a restaurant owner and chef herself, absolutely loves the food and service at Babu. We requested the hot and spicy versions, just like the originals.
We had a wonderful meal that started with a combo platter for the appetizer. For our main course, we enjoyed the Korma, and we ended on a sweet note with the chocolate and caramel naan for dessert. The food was fantastic, and I especially loved the Korma with lamb—it was my favorite dish! The restaurant was also very clean.
I recently visited Manitou Springs and was craving Indian food, which led me to this restaurant. The ambiance was decent, but unfortunately, the food was quite bland. I've never had paneer curry that tasted like this before. The rice also seemed stale and had an odd smell. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was acceptable. I’m giving it 2 stars, and the only reason for the extra point is that the tea was good.
