Barker House Apartments

Barker House is a cool place to live. The building itself is a historic landmark. The Barker House community is like a family. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The apartment is in the middle of downtown, so all bars, restaurants and shops are walking distance. The incline is walking distance as well. The manager is also really cool. She is a hard worker and does whatever she can to make sure all tenants are living comfortably. If you don't do d stuff and be a good neighbor, everything will be fine.

My husband has called numerous times wanting to rent. He has left numerous messages and no call backs. Would like if someone would call us back.

I am the Resident Manager of Barker House. Barker House is a private, residential building with 48 lovely apartment units, right in the center of Manitou Springs, Colorado.

The owner of this building is as rude and as narcissistic person as I have ever met. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. She is often referred to as the slum landlord of Manitou Springs. I lived there a year and never got the heat thermometer fixed in my room so I had to turn the heat completely off the entire time. It is a very old building, last rennovated in 1985, so not much works. Halls are noisy and hall carpets were filthy. Postal service there is always mixed up and because of her penny pinching strange ways, this place is everything you would expect in a creaky, historic, uncared for building. Just sayin...
