Nostalgia Ale House Wine - Malta

There were not many people staffed in front of house (I think two) and no manager present. Our server was also tending bar to a full bar of what seemed like locals. We walked in and it took 10 minutes for us to even be greeted, we then were seated and waited another 30 minutes before being about to order drinks. The server seldom came around but the few times she did she continually checked on tables surrounding us that already had their food without bothering to take our order so we put a 20 on the table, finished our drinks and left after having been there for an hour without putting in our food order. Although the premise of the restaurant was “nostalgia” I thought the decor seemed filthy and tattered and was not pleasant. A shame too because this place seems like it could be a gold mine if renovated and a properly staffed and managed. The food coming out of the kitchen actually seemed great- we just didn’t get to enjoy it...

Good food and good service! Will definitely be back!

Nice outdoor space- welcomes dogs and my sister is traveling with her pup, so it was perfect. View of lake, not crowded and my eggplant Parmesan was good!

They have great drink prices during happy hour. The French Onion soup is made in-house and it’s excellent! Haddock dinner was very good. If the weather is good, sit outside. We sat on the outside patio with a gorgeous view of the lake. We will go back soon!

It is one of the coolest places I have been too. It does give you the feeling of stepping back in time. The food is amazing and there are so many activities to enjoy while you are there. It is the attention to detail that sets this place apart from any other restaurant I have been to.
