Swagat Indian - Madison

This was my first time trying this restaurant and I will definitely be back again. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was outstanding.

I am thoroughly impressed with a local restaurant. The staff at Swagat are extremely friendly. I visited the restaurant for the first time today and they generously gave my one-year-old son a free smoothie and ice cream for his birthday. They even brought our food out to the car. Their customer service is exceptional! The food was amazing as well. They have definitely gained a loyal customer in me.

The food at this restaurant in Madison was better than average. We tried their weekend lunch buffet and found it to be flavorful and not bland like some other Indian restaurants in the area, which was a positive for us. The only downside was that the bathroom could use some cleaning.

If you want to eat a meal like you in a factory conveyor belt, then over for weekend buffet. In the past, you had the option to order something other than water not when I went last (Feb 2024). And it was worse than that ... The only time someone came to our table was to drop off, or pick up, the check. I thought it was weird, so I looked around. No other table had any drink other than water. This was about 8 other tables in the first room by the entrance. I could not see the back room. So it appears like this is a decision, not a fluke. Lastly, the bill came to the table with a processing fee already added. Reminder that no one talked to us at all, so they have no idea how we plan on paying. Did I pay via CC, yes. But that's because I was already charged for it. Until I'm confident of changes, this was my last buffet visit.
