Rockhound Brewing Company - Madison

In februar 2019 I booked this place for a final meal for 10. we ate here on the last closing day and found it worthy of a round two. we sat at a nice table in the dining area and we enjoyed eating. the bar was right there for the interested to enjoy. it wasn't chic, but it was funny. this year was a disappointment and it is all due to a sniffy host and/or manager. on Monday I received a voicemail that asked me to confirm our reservation, I called back on Tuesday to do this and at the end of the call, the manager explained and we booked this table at 5 so that they have an hour and a half to enjoy their meal. it just set me back, she said it in a really sniffing ton. Besides, I haven't even been there yet, and they'll hurry too late to change the restaurants. when we arrived there, they had a 3 4 bar (the Perücken tables shattered together and set up in the bar area with high bar stools to sit on the front door and step to be. I politely (real! said the hostess that was a problem for us, and she said that table gives the table we have for them ahhhh I immediately realized that ton. the same dame. seriously, I wasn't demanding and I just let it go because why we want to celebrate and enjoy, but I would never go back there. I know there is a better way to treat people; we received no welcome smile, no geese, apologise, no, gott, there was a mix, no, what can I do to help? rockhound, their hostess is very lacking basic customer service skills and I suggest rockhound finds someone else to deal with the public. food 4 ambiente 3 waiter/bartender 4 hostess/manager 0

While we are in the city for business trips and fighting to find a restaraunt to take a reservation for 10, we should have been rather skeptical of one that could easily accommodate us any amount of different paints. some dishes were dirty, while others were just badly weighed. the service was slow and confusing. there was no cadenz for the server's check-ins, nor would it check with the whole group if it was over. in the concept were very different. the performance of a couple was excellent. cute place, although the hard surfaces provide auditive dissonance. Great local taproom with good variety of drinkable beers.

Great food, great service, great crowd! Our table was ready when we arrived. Great selection of entrees for any kind of diet. Would definitely recommend this place to others and will go again.

Service was inconsistent. Our server was often no where to be found. Food was mediocre. The grain bowl was some cold grains served on top of a cold bed of greens with a piece of salmon that looked like chicken. It was nothing special, underwhelming. Would not recommend and will not go back.
