Morris Ramen - Madison

Fantastic but difficult to find and closes early. Look for shield on the door in a lowered door. Missing my first night in town, but it was also closed. The locals love it, much movement inside. Great design beer selection next to all Japanese specialties. What to order? The place is called Morris Ramen, so you can't order what else, Morris Ramen!

Despite the numerous glowing recommendations from friends, I did not go here the years that I was a resident. Being back in town for the holidays though, the aforementioned friends wanted to meet here for a meal. The restaurant has a great vibe. You enter through an understated entrance and step into a beautiful, aromatic establishment. Our group of six was seated at the one table near the entrance, with the rest of the seating being at the bar or at the long bench and tables along the wall. You order at the counter and take a number for your food to be brought to you. Their menu offers a range of buns, ramen and donburi, as well as an extensive drink menu. My wife enjoyed her sake and I was happily surprised with the mule I ordered. As for the food, the ramen was good but it turns out I’m not super into ramen. Can’t hold that against the restaurant as I would have loved some donburi. It was a really wonderful meal and the host went above and beyond to take our photo. They stood on a bench and held the phone real high.

The raven was delicious! We almost went through the restaurant as it is not marked on the outside, and I am so glad that we don't miss it. The room itself is small and cozy. You order with an employee at the bar and give you a number for a server to bring food. We had beef and pork chops that were great. I hope you'll go back and try her Kimchi next time. The Morris Ramen was a simple dish that brought a lot of taste. Noteworthy hygiene piece was that the chiffel and soup spoons are on the tables, unpacked. Otherwise we had a great time. The service was very fast and the staff was friendly.

This place was amazing. Absolutely everything we had from water, to rolls to ruffles was absolutely perfect and satisfying. The staff was super friendly and friendly.

Great food but hard to find. Took us a few times walking around to find this place. I got the miso ramen which was delicious and popular on the menu. I will definitely be back!
