Don't come here looking for authentic Chinese food. It is definitely catered to the midwestern taste. Appetisers and cocktails were good but noodles and dumplings were disappointing and lacked alot of flavour. We had to ask for refills of chilli oil just to make it flavourful enough for us to enjoy and they actually charged us for the chilli oil. I would also like to add that the chilli oil was literally just chilli flakes and oil with no other spices. I would say the appetisers are the only dishes worth going for.
“Best food ever.”-13 year old son. We loved the poke bowl, dumpings, and steamed buns. Delicious.
Looking for yummy dumplings in Madison? FEAST is the spot to check out! We started with scallion pancakes, which were flaky, fluffy, and flavorful. The crab rangoon were delicious, with the perfect portion of stuffing. But my favorites were the fried fish balls, which were divine little bites I highly recommend these!!In terms of dumplings, we had: pork, shrimp, and chive; pork, scallop, and chive; seafood dumplings; and the veggie dumplings. By far, my favorites were the pork and scallop, as well as the seafood dumplings. But really none of them disappointed! To drink, there was a long list of teas to choose from, but I ended up selecting a drink similar to a lychee martini. The modern Asian inspired instrumental music in the background created a hip environment. Seating was comfortable and the pillows on the booths were a nice touch. Service was somewhat unremarkable. I look forward to coming back!
Feast is a great place for a fancier, elevated date night or meet-up. Their pork belly buns and three ingredient dumplings are so good. Also, their Sesame balls and selection of hot teas are really solid. Ranges on the more pricy end for dumpling places, but we'll worth it, as the quality and presentation is kicked up a notch from your average dim sum joint. The lighting and atmosphere is warm and dim, which is very calming and inviting. Outdoor seating was available in the warmer months last time I was there as well.
