Bidrage med feedbackAfter landing at the airport, we were looking for a place to eat, and this restaurant was a great find! It's close by and absolutely delicious! I remember my mom making bierocks when I was growing up, and it's been a while since I've made them myself. Don’t be put off by the sauerkraut in the classic version; it's quite subtle. The potato salad and kettle chips were excellent, and they had a solid selection of beers. Overall, it was a wonderful discovery, and Crystal provided really great service!
**Vegetarian options:** Most appetizers, some bierocks (clearly marked), and the dessert selections are great (I highly recommend trying them!). **Parking:** Occasionally, finding a parking spot can be challenging, particularly when there are events at Mallard's, but there’s usually always a place to park. **Dietary restrictions:** Bierock offers a gluten-sensitive crust option that is both crispy and tasty. However, note that it’s not a gluten-free kitchen, so if you have a severe allergy or sensitivity to trace amounts, it may not be the safest choice. They also have excellent vegetarian options available.
The menu reflects a lot of thought; the appetizers have creative twists and are served in a way that allows you to enjoy them as tapas or upgrade the sides of your entrees (which usually come with a generous portion of kettle chips and a pickle). We shared the slaw, potato wedges, and spinach puffs (which are spinach dip wrapped in phyllo dough), and we were thoroughly impressed. The entrees primarily feature bierocks (which are pastry pockets filled with either meat or vegetarian options) and burgers. We chose lamb, beef, and vegetarian bierocks and tasted each other's selections. Wow, they were all fantastic! Each comes with a dipping sauce tailored to match your choice. Beyond the food, Bierock aims to be a place for socializing, hosting event nights, themed gatherings, and live music on weekends. It’s also a community-conscious establishment, supporting various local causes. Overall, the vibe is relaxed, positive, and welcoming to families of all kinds. So, if you’re searching for something beyond the typical pizza or fish fry (not that there's anything wrong with those), definitely give Bierock a try. We're so glad we did!
I needed a meal before the Mallards game, and this place was an excellent choice. The pasties were delicious, and the drinks were generous. Our waitress was friendly and engaging.
