Bassett Street Brunch Club - Madison

I arrived at the restaurant around 9 a.m. on a Sunday and waited 45 minutes to be seated with a party of five. I believe it was parents' weekend, which may have contributed to the busyness. However, the wait was definitely worthwhile. We had dined here before and were eager to return. The burrito, chocolate chip pancakes, and breakfast sandwich were all exceptional.

The staff at this restaurant are friendly and provide quick, attentive service. The breakfast menu features a fantastic selection of traditional American dishes with some interesting variations. There's plenty of food to enjoy, and you also have the chance to try a limited assortment of unique and tasty donuts.

I went to school at UW so have been to Bassett many a time. It's a great vibe inside. Expansive menu with not a bad option in sight. Food is always pretty dang tasty. Service is solid even though it's busy. It's definitely a great casual breakfast, lunch, or dinner option if you're downtown. They don't take reservations though so get there early if you don't feel like waiting.

This place is so much fun! 1. DONUTS! Theirs are spectacular! 2. The fabulous all day menu 3. The drinks whether non stop coffee or a special libation for whatever? Time of day, trust me you won't be disappointed! Dine In? YES! Dine Out? YES! Feel FABULOUS??? Ummmm YES YES YES!!!!

Super cool vibes! Let me tell you, the minute I see a restaurant attached to a chain hotel I assume it is not worth my time or money. But I was so, so wrong about Bassett Street Brunch Club. OH MY GOODNESS I love me a boozy brunch. And BSBC boasts a few happy hours, including: $5 mimosas Monday Friday (8 9AM) and a Monday Friday (4 6PM) with lots of drink and appetizer specials. This particular trip I had the Bourbon Buzz it did not disappoint. The espresso infused bourbon with the coffee liqueur was sublime. We stopped in for a light lunch after perusing the Botanical Garden. My daughter and I shared a Caesar salad and tomato bisque soup. Both were great but holy salad! That was a big bowl. A lot of bang per buck there. Others in my group enjoyed the donuts, chicken n donut and their cocktails. Clean plate club all around! Our waitress was quick and knowledgable. The menu seemed to have something for everyone, and was creative. The best part: we were just steps from the lobby of our hotel! (Hampton Inn Suites, Dtwn Madison). Stop in for an adult beverage and snag a donut at Bassett Street Brunch Club.
