The Filling Station - Lynchburg

Fantastic spot in a quaint little town. It's a hidden gem, like a bar at a gas station. The menu and beer selection are outstanding!

I hesitate to give this place a high rating because I want to be able to get in without battling a crowd, but it truly is a delightful spot. I tried the Octane Burger, which is their take on a Western burger. The Octane is served on Texas Toast, whereas a traditional Western uses a regular hamburger bun. It was delicious and reasonably priced at $10.99. My wife opted for a single burger, priced at $7.99, and she really enjoyed hers as well. We also shared some onion rings, which were tasty, along with seasoned fries. They boast an extensive selection of both tap and bottled beers. The only drawback is that the place is quite small—it’s even located in a gas station. So, I kindly request that you stay away so I can easily find a seat!

What a fantastic and delightful discovery! The staff is friendly, and the food and drinks are exceptional. There's a wonderful selection of beers, along with a delicious bar menu.

Very odd place to have a little diner, inside of a gas station. I heard this was common in the south? I'm from Ca so this was interesting to me. Well, I was very happy with my food and ate it ALL! I had the Philly cheesesteak with tater tots. I wish the meat had a bit more flavor but overall I would get it again. The young lady who helped me was very sweet!

I wasn't greeted when I walked in and stood at the counter for ten minutes waiting to place my order, but no one acknowledged me. After waiting while my fiancé and I went unnoticed, we decided to leave. I do not recommend this place.
