Bidrage med feedbackI'm a big, big fan of Vietnamese food, and an even bigger supporter of small businesspeople with focus and heart.
The Rice Hut visits the Brisbane CBD on Wednesdays.
We meant to visit the Noodle Club for a Sunday lunch. Upon arrival at five minutes before the trading hour, we saw a group of people with many kids waiting outside the door. It was expected to be very noisy so we changed to this Vietnamese restaurant because nobody was dining in yet. After we perused the menu, we then settled on the orders of raw beef pho, Hanoi Spring Roll and a prawn and BBQ pork omelette.Well, beef on top of the pho was nearly well done. Spring roll was a let down. Fillings on the omelette seemed too meant. Food are eatable but not a decent experiencePrevious rating: Dec July
On our way to the Carindale Shopping Centre my partner gets a "hunger attack" and needs food quickly. Four minutes later we are parked in front of the Vietnamese Hut at Runcorn Plaza. This restaurant looks very clean and the friendly Vietnamese waitress guides us to our table. We place our orders and within minutes the lunchtime crowd of Vietnamese and Koreans start filing in. Two large bowls of piping hot steaming soup noodles arrive. Good presentation and a sip of both soups confirms to me the culinary skills of the chef. My partner's Pho (Combination) Dac Biet broth is excellent, noodles fresh with a big serve of sliced beef, raw beef and smaller serve of beef tendon and tripe. Rating: 5.0/5.0 My spicy Bun Bo Hue is close to perfect. I had to remove some chilli oil from the broth but I know some diners like the extra oil. The steaming super-hot soup in Winter really does it for me. There is so much sliced beef and sliced pork hock, the meat-eater in me is fully sated! Rating: 4.5/5.0 What a pleasant surprise to find a quality Vietnamese restaurant in the Warrigal area. We will have to return and try some other dishes on the menu. Well done Vietnamese Hut!
