Bidrage med feedbackCould not tell the difference between kitchen staff(cooks) and anyone else, there seemed to be a number of gents standing in the kitchen area. No uniform, just polo shirts and long pants. Meal seemed very basic not much flavour, seafood seemed frozen. Disappointing looking forward to a nice restaurant meal. Waiting staff were pleasant as was the mgr( I think). nothing special, seemed a bit tired and dated. The seafood dish (sauce) seemed almost gelatinous, only picked out the seafood and the rice.
While I have closer Chinese restaurants, I consider this my local. The Peking Duck is great and the yum cha is always excellent. I been going here since this place opened and the quality has never failed. The Vegetarian Curry Puffs need a special mention.
On Wednesday 25th January 2017, I lunched with a friend at Little Nonya in Eight Mile Plains. When we arrived at around 11:30 a.m., the place seemed quite well patronised. The customers were almost all Asian, confirming that is a popular haunt of the local Asian community. We took this as a good omen as to the quality of the food.We ordered a dish of Hainanese Chicken with Butter Rice, a dish of Dried Stir-Fried Beef Ho Fun, and a dish of Hokkien Noodles. For drinks we had Lychee Juice and Coconut Juice. The service was courteous and prompt. The three dishes each had a unique and delicious flavour - not too spicy and somewhat mellow. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our lunch in a very Asian environment. By the time we left at 1:00 p.m., the place seemed still quite busy. Perhaps because Chinese New Year was just 3 days away and people were having their get-togethers.
I have been to this place for Yum Cha a few times now and each time I've really enjoyed the food. The prawn and chive dumplings are always perfect and have great flavor, also their BBQ pork dumplings are great, another highlight is their custard tarts. Definitely my favourite Yum Cha place in Brisbane at the moment.
This popular restaurant offers seamless service, lovely food and good seating. It is in central Brisbane, not far from the mall. I shared with my companions, and had duck, curried chicken, roti to die for, and lychee frappe. Would go again anytime.
