Bidrage med feedbackAlways keen to try out new dessert places, thought I would venture into Hey Sweets (noticing it replaced Sweet Treats). It is extremely disorganised in terms of menu items and pricing. There are multiple menus, HOWEVER no menu for desserts? Instead we are to look at the swing boards and scattered random photos around the area. Saw a photo of something that resembled pancakes and asked bout it - the lady stated they were Matcha pancakes that were not on the menu. After deliberating decided to order it ( without knowing the price as there was no way if knowing), I requested to change the ice cream to a green tea flavour - the change was $2. However the price of both ice creams are the same if ordering individually? When the pancakes came, I realised it was an overpriced mistake. $13 for store bought, microwaved warmed pikelets. No taste of matcha. And stingy servings of fruit. Hoping to come back in a month for a different experiece.
Continuing Sunday night - After having a full and pleasant dinner at Little Singapore, my mates and I decided to find a place to sit down and have some tea. Hey, Sweets! was previously called Sweet Treats. As it is now under new management I was looking forward to seeing what they offer. The interior fit out is pretty much the same as before, the only difference I realize is they use Establishment coffee now and not Blackstar. Wasn't really feeling anything sweet and heavy, I decided to try one of their tea selections. As much as I love peppermint tea, I wanted to try something different. So I went with the French Earl Grey and 2 of my other friends went with a Hot Chocolate and a Chai Latte. Beverage - Presented neatly on a round wooden board was a small glass cup, a clear tea pot, and a small biscuit to nibble on. The loose leaf tea had a nice soothing fragrance. Taste wise, consisting the original Earl Grey flavor with a 'French' fruity twist. Overall, a well enjoyed black tea! (Note: Would be easier to handle if the glass cup was bigger) Unfortunately, I have no feedback on the Hot Chocolate and Chai Latte as I didn't get a taste. But both glasses were emptied at the end so I'm assuming it was good :) Whilst other cafe's price their pot tea's around $4.50 per serve, I found $5+ to be a little expensive. Besides that, I'll be back to try the Baked Cheese Cake displayed in the cabinet. Friendly customer service :)

The cakes look really lovely. I've tried the red velvet cake as well as a matcha tart. However for some reason it doesn't really do it for me. The flavor of the tart wasn't very strong. The atmosphere is nice as well as the service. I might go back to try the matcha jar cake but the first two items I've already tried didn't really taste as lovely as it looked unfortunately. instagram.com
New management replacing previous dessert cafe. The decor is quite nice however tried the matcha cheesecake out of curiosity and found this to be too strong and difficult to finish without having something to drink with it and even then texture was not to my fancy. Drinks were reasonable - had the chai latte.
