General Store - Lewes

Very disappointed. I heard good things about this place so decided to order lunch for family/friends. Food was mediocre and definitely NOT worth the price. I ordered the chicken sandwich which looks like a famous New Orleans style sandwich. Sandwich looked nothing like the picture. Chicken was dry and stringy. I actually threw it out. I can't review what the others ate so maybe it's good. For m though, definitely not going back. Sorry.

My husband and I ordered dinner there last Friday evening. We had placed a rather large order, they said with the bill being over $50, we to run your card. Fine, not a problem. They called me back and said my card did not go through. Ok,just come in and pay at the front desk. Which we did. I said to my husband check our account to make sure they did not double tap us. What he found was not only did we pay our bill, but someone else, at the tune $48 and some change. The guy at the desk said since it still pending, it should resolve it self in 3 days. So, I get home and called my bank and they told me to go back there and demand my money. So, I spoke to the manager and she said she was going to reverse both charges!!! HAHA!! We had one charge removed and not the other!!! SSSSOOO LONG STORY SHORT, WE WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THE GENERAL STORE EVER

Had a really good hamburger, though as an old person I had a very hard time navigating the electronic menu. Never saw where I could add anything to the burger (onions,condiments, etc.)Food: 5/5
