Agave Mexican - Lewes

There was a particularly obnoxious man who identified himself as a surgeon—although I wasn't sure if anesthesiologists are considered surgeons—and he seemed to expect us to be impressed. He was flirting with my friends, a lovely couple, separately while one of them was in the restroom or outside on a call. He might have been a bit tipsy, but that’s still no excuse. His breath suggested poor dental hygiene, something I can comment on despite being an average guy. I finally confronted him about his rude behavior, but he just waved me off dismissively, as if he was the most important person in the room. He mumbled something defensively about "it being his way"—a way that includes flirting with the partners of his best friends. Great friend, right? What a self-important and classless individual. I think the sailors who took shore leave in a very different Lewes many years ago behaved better than this guy. One other patron did comment that it was a big deal to add to the review, so here we are! Thanks to the staff for making up for this unpleasant experience.

I know I've previously given this restaurant a glowing review, but today I stopped by for happy hour to enjoy a margarita. We were warmly welcomed by the bartender, Thomas, and we ordered the classic margarita. I observed Thomas as he prepared the drinks, and I have to say, these margaritas are made with all-natural ingredients—no mixes here! I mentioned this to Thomas, and he explained that even the agave is sourced from Mexico. As with my earlier review, I highly recommend this restaurant. If you get a chance, definitely ask Thomas for a margarita. They're fantastic!

The staff is professional both in the dining area and in the kitchen, showcasing authentic Mexican flair from cocktails to desserts. I enjoyed a dinner here, and the cost per person was around $20–30. I highly recommend trying the Mexican Street Corn and the Cheese Quesadilla. There is ample parking available, with free street parking options nearby.

The atmosphere was enjoyable, contributing to an overall pleasant dining experience, rated a 4 out of 5 as well. The price range of $30 to $50 per person felt reasonable for the quality of the meal.

Excellent Mexican food! I always make it a point to visit this place when I'm in Delaware. The town is also lovely to explore. The service is friendly, although it can be a bit slow, but that's understandable since they're often quite busy.
