Been here dozens of times. It was my special place for breads, cheese, pastries and take-out for dinners. Sadly, I now choose to go elsewhere and will never return. Their prices have crept to the obnoxious level. But the straw for me was my last experience, which was on a recent Monday at 3pm. The rudeness and pretentiousness I experienced was just too disrespectful for my taste. Perhaps the leadership and staff at Station on Kings have forgotten they do have competition full of kinder souls.

I have to prelude this that the food there is very good. The bad side is that if they need your table and because it's bustling in there... They will kick you out, politely... But they will ask you to leave basically. They have a 90 minute limit on the tables but I was there recently with an old friend to have lunch, and of course to catch up and at 60 minutes they basically gave us the heave-ho. So if you know that you're going to go there and you want to meet up with a friend and have some time to chat and catch up... I'd go somewhere else. Because it's often busy at this restaurant. Again the food is good... But they will chase you out if someone is waiting for a table, which almost always is the case. I think next time will just have to go to Panera where you don't get hassled.
