The Roost - Lawrence

This charming little diner in the downtown area is a must-visit. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were larger than we anticipated. The staff was friendly and attentive as well! It's a fantastic spot for breakfast, and we will definitely return.

I had breakfast at the restaurant. The Eggs Benedict were decent, and the potatoes were delicious. The Lemonade Macha was fantastic!

This place is incredibly cozy and serves fantastic food. I visited on a Monday morning, so it wasn’t very crowded. I was able to grab a seat at the bar right away, and the staff welcomed me immediately. The coffee was outstanding, and the eggs Benedict was just what I needed.

I visited this restaurant on Tuesday at 10 o'clock with a co-worker. The night before, KU had just won a national basketball title, so the place was packed. There was a bit of a wait, but the food and overall experience were quite good. I'd definitely eat here again, ideally when they're not as busy.

The food was good, and the waitress was very pleasant. We tried the hahn and the vegan hatch, and the quality was decent for the price. However, my overall rating is held back to a 4 due to our hostess, Sue. She appeared visibly irritated while working and even rolled her eyes at an elderly woman ahead of me who was trying to make a reservation. It could have just been a rough day for her, or perhaps she’s in the wrong job. I hope she finds a better day or considers a change in her work.
