Harold's Chicken, Whiskey Donut

The food was great but the doughnuts were a bit too much like bread by themselves.

The Glazer chicken sandwich was very tasty, a nice combination of sweet from the maple doughnut, savory from the cheddar, nice tang from the sauce, and crispy juiciness from the chicken.

Unique food, excellent whiskey selection, great staff. This experience exceeded my expectations.

So it took three tries going into this restaurant before I got service. I do think they are figuring it out more. I went in the other day to try the donuts. I was greeted this time and then the nice gal behind the counter gave me the donut rundown. Tried the maple bacon, was pleasantly surprised. I've had bacon ice cream and bacon cheesecake and this was the first time I've liked bacon with a sweet. The blackberry marscapone might be my favorite. They serve twelve different donut options each day. They all have the same base but each a unique flavor. I'll update as I have more experiences.

We weren't quite sure if we were to be seated or to order at the counter, we had to go to the counter to get someone to serve us at a table. Some of the best fried chicken I've had. The Mac n cheese was good. Mostly everything comes with a donut, they're good. Nice atmosphere. Seemed a little on the pricey side for what we got, but I'd probably visit again.
