Bidrage med feedbackArriving at 7:30 on a Friday night, we were grateful to have reserved a table as the restaurant was clearly popular on weekends. We were welcomed warmly and seated promptly with a menu of interesting fusion tapas to consider. The wine list was short but reasonably priced, though a couple of the white wines we were interested in were not available. However, we enjoyed a good Torrontes to start the evening off well, followed by an okay Sauvignon Blanc before switching back to the more impressive Torrontes for £17. We began with a mixed platter of meat, cheese, sun dried tomatoes, gherkins, peppers, and bread, which was delicious. Moving on to the tapas selection, we skipped the more unusual options like curry with sticky rice and beef stew, and instead loved dishes like the beef and pork meatballs, lentils with chorizo, and patatas bravas. The chicken quesadilla and polenta dish were less successful. The tapas portions were generous, so we made sure not to over order. Despite the busy restaurant turning away other customers, we never felt rushed to finish our food. After taking a break and enjoying another bottle of wine, we indulged in a delicious chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. It was a perfect way to end the meal. As the evening slipped away and midnight approached, we left the restaurant feeling satisfied with our first gathering of the year.
This small cafe offers a cozy atmosphere and serves a variety of international tapas dishes that are both delicious and interesting. The fabulous house wine available by the glass is a great addition to the dining experience, especially when enjoyed with the owner. Overall, the restaurant provides good value for the price.
This restaurant provided an amazing dining experience. The host was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. I have never experienced anything like it before. The food was impeccable, especially the braised beef cheek. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu.
Beautiful place in the brixton village. eating is fresh, delicious and cooked with real love. also the wine list is excellent. we were spoiled for the election. highly recommended.
Great small tapas place for a quick bite. we had broken eggs and morcilla (delicious, but eggs were more culled than broken), truffled wild mushrooms on roasted ciabatta, marón croquettas (needs more jam a speckle not enough) and pan con tomate. everything was very good, but needed a tad more salt. not most bang for their buck in brixton market, esp not with a lunch time 12.5% service fee, but good eating anyway.
