The Albir Arms - l'Alfàs del Pi

Be patient if you come here as there was only 1 man working when we arrived. We were going to leave as there was no kids menu but he said he’d be able to make chicken nuggets as requested (only thing the kids ate on holiday). So we stayed and we are glad we did!!! Homemade steak Guiness pie, jalfrezi curry, cheeseburger all amazing. The batter on the onion rings and chicken nuggets was so nice so imagine the fish chips would be a good thing to order! Chips all homemade and crispy! The food was so good here!! Portions are a good size! We then got desert, chocolate tarte and syrup sponge. Again both really nice! Defiantly recommend.

Walked in no acknowledgement sat down at a table for about five minutes staff walked by us no acknowledgement still sat there walked by us again I presume it was owner behind bar. As I walked out I told him why I was leaving because I had never been in a bar where the staff were so rude with ignorance. He said bye. He obviously did not need the business. The place was empty and I can understand why as looking around it could do with a good clean.

6 of us de died to have fish and chips and try a British place. We all chose what we wanted which was not a straight forward order over but all arrived, an no grumbles about the size or quality of the fish.Even though many were full we managed home made desserts an coffees. Apart from another lady we were the only ones in the place and the service was a tad sloW

Lovely welcome from Steve the owner , on our 1st visit for drinks only decided to go back today for food and have to say after living in Spain for 4 years now it was the best I had eaten here , HIGHLY recommended and the fact that every table in the place was ordering food simply says to me it’s not just the fish and chips that’s good. Great place , great terrace , fantastic food and reasonably priced drinks , what more do you need ? Well done and keep up the good work Darren ;

Had meal here first night arrived. Steak and guinness pie with proper chips. Also do it with liquer which is a favourite in London.John smiths £2 a can in happy hour.
