Bidrage med feedbackVery upset with the service we had from our server, horrible wait time for drinks and food. Naomi I believe was her name thought it was funny when she messed up our order. Take a customer service class!
Loved the food, but that girl Naomi was rude and was flirting with me right in front of my date. She needs to be dealt with by management.
Great breakfast and lunch items. The turkey burger was a 1/3 pounder grilled with onions and avacado served on a fresh made wheat bun. I also had a belgian beer to top it off.
Try the Brussels Waffle for breakfast or lunch.... Life is good!
Pines, a shimmering blue lake and waffles, what could be better? The Belgian waffle plant in the village of Arrowheadsee has one of the best views of every restaurant I have ever visited. This particular view of Lake Arrowhead has a very personal meaning to me. My parents met in Lake Arrowhead in the 1950s, and my dad took my brother and I camp there every summer when we were children in the sixties and seventies. Recently my father, who is in his eighties, and my nephew, who was just five years old, lay near the lake and ate breakfast in the Belgian waffle works with me and my brother. Our long-term family tradition has now become the 21st. century continued. On this special camping trip, due to logistics, timing and room observations (read: not enough time and not enough space) we decided not to bring food with us, except for some fixin for s’mores, and instant coffee. We have specifically planned to take all our meals in restaurants in and around the Arrowhead Lake. The old gold miners should have shouted: “There are food in them thar Hills!” Some of my favorite restaurants of all time can be found in the San Bernardino Mountains. At the next camp we will cook bacon and eggs, hamburgers and beans and enemies properly over the open fire, but for the first venture of my nephew into the great outdoor world we decided to eat inside. We left our house in the early days, so we arrived in time for breakfast at Lake Arrowhead. There are many good places to eat breakfast all over the mountain, but the Belgian waffle works was always one of our favorites and the view over the lake in the early morning is one of the most beautiful ones you will ever see. I wasn't in Lake Arrowhead in many years and actually got goose bumps when I saw the lake and the restaurant. You have a really cute dining room set up in American country style. If it snows outside, the dining room is super-kozy, but as we break our fast in the middle of the summer, we decided to eat on the roof covered terrace overlooking the lake. The view was just breathtaking, and technically we have eaten outside. My brother, who was very excited to return to one of our old hunts, and had talked about the delicious waffles throughout our journey, was paralyzed about the idea of bringing only one kind of waffle creation. You have listed about seventeen different types of waffles on the menu. He moved back and forth for about five minutes. My dad quickly picked his long-term favorite dish that Apple's Normandy Belgian. These are waffles embroidered with hot cubeed apples, raisins, walnuts and a false of burnt cream and cinnamon. But my brother couldn't choose a waffle. I remembered how big the waffles were and I knew I wanted some eggs too, so I ordered the Little Breakfast, which is half a Belgian waffle with two eggs of every style, with bacon or sausage. As a vegetarian, I immediately handed the bacon to my brother, although I'm sure they had substituted fruits if I asked. I actually dreamed of these waffles in my sleep at night before. The Belgian waffle work offers many other choices, both for breakfast and lunch, but I have never put a fork on something other than waffles and eggs in this restaurant. Some culinary traditions must remain intact. My brother, on the other hand, took a leap of faith and ordered the Mountain Breakfast with two big biscuits, up with three scrambled eggs and sausage sword, plus the bacon from my plate. He explained it to triumph; although I am not sure that his cardiologist would agree. All waffles are of course the thick fluffy Belgian waffles. And you can get them with all sorts of interesting peaches and fillings like cut peaches with a raspberry melba sauce; fresh strawberries and bananas; Chocolate ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate syrup; or coffee ice cream with chocolate Fudge cream and oreo cookie crumbs. These are some of the sweet offers. Savory elections are the Benedikt Belgier with Canadian bacon, eggs and Hollandaise sauce; while the Brussels Belgian is filled with ham, Swiss cheese and turkey, which is then baked and dusted with powder sugar and served with strawberry canned and cream cheese. You also have a multi-grain waffle for your health and pleasure that one of the regular males described as a little denser and crispy than the other waffles. On a side note, the Belgian wafer factory serves delicious Farmer Bros, French roast coffee, which I felt as smooth and tasty. You also have a nice selection of coffee house style drinks. Who needs Starbucks? I'd like to go back to the mountains and spend about a week there. In this way, I was able to visit the Belgian waffles again, leave my routine and try some of their lunch menus. I think a veggieburger with a side of sweet potatoes would be a good start. Until then I will dream of the unspoiled lake views and remember the scent of fresh maple syrup-ground waffles until the “Call of the Wilderness” recalls.
