Jaxdog Cafe - La Grande

Because of the snow and autobahn closures I have actually stopped in la grande and discovered this place. the food was great. friendly staff and great atmosphere made it to remember. for a book lover I was in the sky. I found some old astrology books. next time I'm going past la grande, I'm going to watch for something to eat, and I'm going to get the books back.

We stumbled upon this place because it shares the same name as our dog! It was a great little find. We loved the quiet and cozy bookshop/cafe vibe, and the food was amazing! Their cardamom roll was out of this world - we ended up getting a second one as a snack later on. We also had a house salad and their soup of the day, both of which were fresh and flavorful. We enjoyed our meal so much that I forgot to take pictures before we finished everything, haha! The next time we're in this area, we will definitely be returning.

There are some places in La Grande that hold a special place in my heart due to tradition, but Jaxdog is a restaurant where I don't need a specific reason to enjoy a meal there. The food at Jaxdog is truly top-notch and probably the best in our city. The atmosphere and friendliness of the staff are also commendable, but what really sets the restaurant apart is the incredible variety and delicious taste of the dishes. I would eat here even if it was located in a secluded corner of the city. You simply have to try it.

This restaurant is a must-visit when I have guests in town. The food is delicious, the presentation is always beautiful, and the daily variety on the menu is a welcome and unique aspect. The cardamom rolls are absolutely to die for, and even better the next day. They have more flavor than any cinnamon roll I've ever had. Thank you, Jaxdog, for providing such a fantastic atmosphere and incredible dining experience. We are fortunate to have you in our small town.
