The Grove Gippsland - Krowera

Only two vegetarian options and they were poor. The first one totally unappealing (waitress agreed) the second one bland and boring. My partner said that most other dishes contained peppers (lacked variety) We certainly expected so much more from a place that boasts using local seasonal produce and offering degustation. This was the most disappointing birthday experience I have ever had. Staff were really lovely but lacked experience.

Very pleased with the overall experience and would recommend to friends.

The Grove is an absolutely gorgeous little spot nestled in the lush hills of Gippsland. Service, food and value were spot on. Can't wait to bring our friends back!

A truly wonderful setting and the staff were lovely, however my main and dessert were below average. I got the duck which was tough (had to ask for a steak knife) and the skin was limp and not crispy, at $40 I thought it needed to be so much better. I then got the chocolate freddo dessert which tasted like straight cocoa. I will say that their focaccia bread was outstanding, but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

A beautiful place in glorious surroundings. The service was excellent and the waitresses very hospitable. My rabbit pasta entree was absolutely delicious as were the prawns. We also had the beef cheeks which were very good however my duck was a little tough, and I would have preferred a crispy skin. The two deserts, tiramisu and semifreddo, were exceptional. Out of the box but so good we are coming back soon for more.
