Fire Fly - Kottegoda

This place was recommended to us by friends who also stayed at the talalla beach, it is directly opposite the talalla retreat. we went first to check it and stayed for spirited cocos milk latte, they were happy to replace milk with cocos milk without price and our drinks were delicious. we went back to dinner on the same night, unfortunately the vegan special was not available because they could not get good jackfruit, so we had the 3 nibbles' by gado salad, tempura veggies and bean bowl. When these were listed as nibbles, we thought they were small, but everyone was eating in themselves. the tempura consisted of a good mix of sweet in a great crisp teig with a surprising caramel dark chocolate drop around the plate, they were so good. the bean bowl was full of taste with tofu, rice, lenses, kicherbsen and more with a delicious dressur of passionsfruit. the Gado salad was once again unique and beautifully aromatized. the careful and attentiveness that is placed in this food is amazing, the aromen were like nothing I had before. we were in verse in dickwella in the previous night and eating there was not as good as this place plus it was twice the price. so impressed by the dinner we returned to lunch the next day after fire fly, where we all the curry and rice (only in a few minutes) again eating was impressive, well presented, without being promising. since the options were very close to we went to dinner again and had the same 3 dishes, but the place was packed, we had to wait for a seat, but the owner who is a beautiful guy was fantastic. we finally got our food, which was just as perfect as the evening before, despite the pressure of many hungry customers waiting. they will do well if they keep this consistency of quality in their food.

So impressed by the dinner we returned to Fire Fly for lunch the next day, where we had the curry and rice (only a few times) again the food was impressive, well presented without being pretentious.
