Bidrage med feedbackThe service at this restaurant is top-notch, the ambiance is lovely, but the food takes a while to be served.
I stayed in the hotel on two visits, and managed to avoid eating here, but this time I had to eat a quick breakfast. Boy was I disappointed. I had to read the menu three times to find something that looked remotely interesting, and what I did order, the breakfast sandwich, was about as plain and boring as could be. The service was flat and mumbling, and looked a little irritated with one in my party who was challenged with speaking English. In sum, I was very much unimpressed with this place, and do not recommend it at all.
My husband was here on business and I came along. Went down for breakfast a little after 9AM. Most tables had not been bussed from previous dinners. I found one clean table with no silverware or cups. It is seat yourself. I waited and did not see any staff for ten minutes. Finally Juliet acknowledged me. But still no service. When she did come back and asked for my order I quickly asked for coffee and the 4 Points breakfast. Who knew when I might see her again. She took an unused cup from the table next to me that a man was eating at just 5 minutes ago . It still had dirty dishes on it! When she delivered my food I had to ask for silverware. She took these from a clean table. I think. Then I asked for hot sauce. She said she only had one kind. I know this to be untrue. I ate here yesterday morning and had the one she said they didn’t have. Also that young man was an excellent waiter. She never brought the sauce she said they had and furthermore never acknowledged she forgot. She was too busy flirting with a man two tables over. Who by the way got great service. Humm... I had to flag her down for the check. Good grief! What does she get paid for here?! The food was wonderful in spite of her.
I stay at a lot of restaurants but this has to be the worst. 2 types of Chardonnays on the menu so I ordered the only Pinot Noir they had. It was so sweet. Their menu was basically appetizers and sandwiches. They have a “daily” meal choice which on Monday is Chicken Paillard with arugula and tomato salad. The chicken was so thin it came out dry and like a piece of leather and absolutely no seasoning. The chicken was on a bed of arugula that had absolutely no dressing what-so-ever. There were small cherry tomatoes cut in half which were edible. There was supposed to be cucumbers in in and I think there were two small pieces. I asked the server if it was supposed to come with a dressing. She said no, but could bring me some if I wanted. I declined. I left shortly after that and decided to have room service. From my room I ordered a bowl of chili. They said I could pick it up in 5 mins. I asked if they had room service and they said no. What hotel, with a restaurant doesn’t have room service????? For dinner tonight I’ll eat a protein bar I have in my travel bag. I will not bother with this hotel next time I’m in Knoxville.
It took us more than 45 minutes to receive our food. The omelette was tasty, but the breakfast sandwich was just average. Unfortunately, my daughter's Belgian waffle was overcooked to the point where she couldn't eat it. When I informed the waitress, she apologized and agreed that it was inedible. However, she did not offer to replace the meal or remove it from our bill. The service was unusually slow, and it seemed that other tables were experiencing similar issues. The restaurant, located inside the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, was only half full despite the hotel being fully booked for University of Tennessee parents weekend. I expected better staffing given the hotel's occupancy. If the restaurant couldn't handle a half-full crowd, I can only imagine the chaos if it were at full capacity. While the convenience of being in the hotel is nice, I would suggest trying other nearby restaurants if you have the time. There are plenty of good options in the area.
