Golden Garden Chinese - Knoxville

11/28/2015 My wife has begged me to try Golden Garden for some time now, but it is on the other side of town and I finally gave in. The building and decor is nothing to look at, but the food is good. There is a lot to be said for Chinese restaurants which actually make the food to order instead of leveraging buffets. The food quality just isn't as good.<br/ <br/ I ordered the Spicy Chicken, steamed rice, egg roll, and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup is good it has the right amount of bite. The entree was tasty and temperature hot when served. The egg roll was also quite good and retained its temperature as well.<br/ <br/ I will definitely return for another meal!

Best Chinese in Knoxville.... If you want the best (Americanized) Chinese food in Knoxville, this is the place to go. All their dishes have a very 'clean ' taste to them and do not taste overly greasy like most Chinese food does. I haven 't tried everything on their menu but everything I 've tried has been excellent. If you get a chance to go, introduce yourself to the waitress (Rebecca) and let her know that John (Matt 's friend) sent you.

Like most Chinese restaurants, the 'hole ' in the wall places are usually very good and Golden Garden is no exception.

Pretty good food. I was disappointed with the General Tso it was battered like sweet sour chicken, not the crispy chunks that most other places serve. Best crab rangoons though! Actually had crab (imitation however) instead of just cream cheese type filling.

Love this place and their food and their super affordable!!
