El Burro Flojo - Knoxville

I stopped here for a break during my drive and discovered a real treasure. The homemade sauces were delicious, and the guacamole was outstanding. The food was exceptional, and our waitress, Crystal, took the time to walk us through the menu. There were many authentic Mexican dishes available, including seafood options. I chose the Molcajete, which included chicken, shrimp, and steak. Crystal mentioned it was meant for two people, and I didn't believe her—she was absolutely right! I ended up with leftovers for dinner tonight. I will definitely return whenever I'm in the area.

The flavors were outstanding, and I was pleasantly surprised by the salsa bar, which offered a variety of fresh, homemade salsas. While I've had more tender chicken, the taste was fantastic. A chilled mug of Pacifico perfectly complemented the meal. The welcome could have been warmer, but the waitress provided excellent service. With improved hospitality and service, this would easily be a 5-star review. On my second visit, the service was even better, and the food remained exceptional.

We attempted to order a combo of two fish tacos. We called 30 minutes in advance, but when we arrived to pick up the order, they hadn’t prepared it at all! They acknowledged that they knew about our order but simply didn't make it. I was astounded! The staff had a terrible attitude, and the overall experience was incredibly frustrating. It’s clear that they don't value your time, the quality of your food, or your dining experience. I highly recommend avoiding this place; it was that disappointing. By the way, I took a picture of the food they did give us, and it looked unappetizing!
