Captain D's - Knoxville

I experienced an unusually long wait in the drive-thru (10 minutes), and when I received my fish, it was overcooked and had black specks and spots all over it. It seems likely that the oil was not cleaned or changed regularly. Overall, I was very disappointed with the food. Rating: 1/5

On October 30th, 2022, I visited Captain D's on Chapman Highway and ordered the catfish platter, which comes with three sides and hush puppies. For my sides, I chose two servings of extra well-done okra and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the okra was barely cooked, and the mac and cheese was not good at all. I don’t understand why they make you wait in line for your food only to receive it almost raw. I've tried calling multiple times, but no one answers, and even after leaving a message, I still haven't heard back. I dislike spending nearly $20 on lunch only to have to take it home and re-cook it.

The baked potato wasn't hot enough to melt the butter, and the fish was also lukewarm. However, the service we received was excellent. Unfortunately, the food itself did not meet expectations. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5.

Wonderful service! Kind people, quick turn around time, tastes great too!The dining area was a tad cramed and a booth was turned, but that's the worst of it. Pretty good in my book!

Took 30 minutes just to get a basic order. I have never waited so long. 8 piece cheeses ticks, and 3 piece fish dinner. Only 2 people ahead of us the entire time. This is ridiculous.
