Bidrage med feedbackI want to thank Gina from Jig Reel for reaching out to me and making me aware of the ramps, as well as being open to my suggestions. I truly appreciate it, as this will help ensure a more welcoming and safe environment for all customers. Jig Reel has such a great vibe and energy that we absolutely love. The restaurant features three rooms. Upon entering, you'll find a large bar with seating and spacious booths. Adjacent to that is the music room, which includes table seating, a raised stage, and instruments adorning the walls—you can even play some of them and join in on the musical fun! Beyond the music room is a third room with games like darts and hook ring, along with more tables. We particularly enjoy the traditional pies, especially the Chicken Vegetable Pie. No matter what you choose, you can expect generous portions for the price. There’s a wide variety of drink options, so everyone can find something they like. The servers are attentive and never make you feel rushed, and the entertainment options are plentiful—there's always live music, jam nights, open mics, and trivia happening. While the servers can get busy, that's understandable in a bustling restaurant in the Old City. We love Jig Reel and are thrilled to know we can return now that the whole place is accessible for me!
This is my initial review based on a lunch visit, and there was no entertainment during my time there, so keep that in mind. I’d rate the drinks a solid 5 out of 5, while the food gets a 4 out of 5. I was hoping for slightly larger portions considering the price, but on the bright side, I cleaned my plate! The venue itself is fantastic, and the menu features many classic dishes that align well with the overall theme. I definitely want to return when there’s live music happening to fully experience the atmosphere. Having recently visited Ireland and Scotland, I can say that the look and feel of this place remind me of several venues we explored, especially with the red decor similar to the Temple Bar. It’s so exciting to have this kind of spot in Knoxville. Be sure to check out their renowned drink selection!
Hmm, I’m not quite sure about this place. We arrived at 11:20, which I thought was still a reasonable time for a quick meal. We ordered a beer, but our waitress said she'd be back and never came back. We ended up having to flag down another server for assistance. We only had some chips and one beer… maybe it was just not our day, haha.
Amazing whiskey selection. Cool atmosphere. Could drink and talk and just hang out. Loved it.
Dear Chefs of Jig and Reel, There is an amazing seasoning I don 't think you 've ever heard of that would really take your food to the next level, it 's called salt. The lack of salt and seasoning in general rendered the food completely inedible. The fish and chips were bland and soggy, the soft pretzels were hard and stale, and in the words of my daughter hurts my teeth . The steak and ale pie was all ale, and the cottage pie was flavorless. The only saving grace might be the ice cream that comes along side the desserts, but that 's store bought.
