Village Grill - Knowsley

Ordered a steak to be well done came oozing with blood and sent back 2nd one came out worse same state and also runny fat all over the plate! was disgusting! id have expected a full refund for this but she tried to offer me a free pudding bearing in mind I handnt had a meal!! wont be back!

I visited this restaurant on Easter Sunday. The staff were wonderful, but the food was just average. The carvery wasn't the greatest - they had run out of mashed potatoes by 3:30pm. Really? The dessert, aside from the supposed "chocolate mousse" (see picture below), was amusing for the kids but lacked presentation. I don't believe presentation was a priority in this case.

The restaurant food was fantastic, and I was so full that I felt like I was going to burst. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. It is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a nice quiet meal while staying at the hotel.

I stopped by the pub attached to the hotel for a pre-dinner drink. It's no surprise that it was empty. I paid £15.00 for a pint of lager and a large gin and tonic. What a shame. The pub had Sky sports and nice decor.
