Jia - Kensington and Chelsea

Simply great! We have ordered Dim Sum Platter and Singapore Vermicelli and both meals were better than we expected. This is not a place to drink wine unless you decide for the plum wine ; Would come back anytime.

My recent visit to this restaurant was a regrettable choice. It was my mistake to wander into a place located on a busy street, as the experience left much to be desired. The table service was incredibly slow and the food arrived at our table faster than the order was taken. Unfortunately, the speed did not equate to quality. The dishes we received were subpar in taste and presentation. It is a hands down worst meal I ever had. One thing I cannot complain about is the price. Considering the location, the food was priced reasonably. That is probably something which should have been a red flag.

Dim Sum was good. Service was abrupt to put it mildly. Rushed along which is not that unusual in London at some places. Cherry on the top was waitress asking me to enter a tip on card machine despite 12.5% already included in the bill. Won’t be back.

Run by a couple of angry ladies that won't exactly make you feel at home, the place also looks not too comfortable (it's rather black and cold), but the food is really nice, so it's a good option if you are in the neighbourhood. They offer a wide variety of Asian meals, from spring rolls to soups to rice and noodles.

We were worried as the reviews weren’t great and the fuscia pink put me off a bit, however, we saw that there were a fair amount of Asians inside so we gave it a go and we were glad we did. We enjoyed the Wonton Soup, Hot and Sour Soup, grilled pork dumplings and the green beans with chili were the best we have ever had! Do not be put off. Conversely, some people showed up looking for chips and curry sauce and were disappointed as they don’t supply that thankfully. I hope they don’t write a review, but if that is what you want just walk on ;-b We eat in Chinatown regularly, and the service was similar, efficient but not smiley. They brought us chili without asking so I was pleased. The white wine was absolutely fine as well and decently priced, I never expect much from the wine in a Chinese place so I was happy. We will return, great location for the tube. We had a quick early meal for before going to Royal Albert Hall.
