Adams Fish Market - Keene

Regarding the rude employee, I encountered her as well! Fortunately, she no longer works there, and that's great news! I've consistently enjoyed the fresh fish from Adam's. I've been shopping there since the Keene location opened—it's been about 8 years now! You should definitely try the shrimp; it tastes so much fresher and is more tender compared to what you find in grocery stores!

The staff is friendly and attentive. The fish is always fresh, and the seafood chowder is delightful.

I will only go to Jen's for seafood—no more buying from chain supermarkets. This place has the freshest seafood in town!

A trip to New England wouldn't be complete without indulging in some seafood. Several members of our group had never tried a lobster roll, and Jen's Market was the most convenient option. It was definitely worth the visit. Although the Market doesn't have seating, there's a lovely public park just a block away, perfect for a picnic. We arrived 10 minutes before closing, yet the staff remained cheerful while we made our selections and during the preparation of our orders. For me, the standout dish was the clam strips—some of the best I've ever tasted. The generous portion was more than I could handle in one sitting. The four lobster rolls were also impressive, packed with chunks of lobster and not overloaded with mayonnaise.

I would likely give this place 4.5 stars if Yelp allowed it. It's a charming local fish market that is impressively stocked with a wide variety of seafood options. The lobster rolls are excellent, offering both Maine-style cold lobster salad and Connecticut-style warm butter variations. Prices are reasonable, and the service is commendable. The fries are perfectly cut and cooked to a nice crunch, and they only cost $2 when added to an order. Although there is no seating available, there's a lovely little park nearby with benches and picnic tables that we enjoyed using. We found this spot to be a great halfway point on our journey between New York and Maine.
