The Escarpment Restaurant - KATHERINE

We spent half of the day in Kingston on the Canada Day long weekend.

The breakfast was delicious! We visited the restaurant during our vacation on a Monday and there were only a few other customers. There was plenty of seating available.

We have dined at this restaurant multiple times for dinner and it has consistently exceeded our expectations.

The service was poor, they said steak was not available then served it to the owner and his guests half an hour after we ordered. We ordered Chicken and got Salmon which was over cooked then had to wait longer for our correct order which was equally as bad. The wine was massively over priced and I over heard the manager say he ordered it "dirt cheap and bump up the price" we had a starter, main and passed on dessert... it still cost $250!!

A group of friends and I went to this restaurant last night and had a fantastic time.We are locals to the Katherine Area and have been before, we can't fault this place. Great Staff, awesome food and a great atmosphere. We have never had a bad meal or bad service from this restaurant and the prices are very reasonable with large portion sizes. We will definitely keep going back
