Vue Rooftop Iowa City

You definitely come to The Vue for the views. The food tastes great but there are other restaurants that offer similar options but more value/bigger portions. The cocktails were ok, they lacked an identity. I'm a big cocktail guy so I may be more partial to very distinct cocktails.Food: 4/5

More than a magnificent view over Iowa City. This restaurant was hosting Hawk Talk incidentally while we there. Great food and cocktails, maybe the best burger in Iowa City. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5

The baked toma appetizer was absolutely amazing!!! Our Server was incredible- Storm !! He rocked it.... Gave us all the ins and outs of what to order and our food was absolutely incredible!! Even found Out it was our 20th anniversary and went in above and beyond and gave us this!!!!Food: 5/5

We stayed 2 nights at the Hilton Garden Inn this past weekend. We are from Texas and one of the reasons we chose the hotel is because we saw the The Vue Rooftop was the on site restaurant (the online menu, reviews and pics looked great . The Vue Rooftop did not disappoint! The craft cocktails were off the hook the Perfect Pear was, well, PERFECT. My husband had the Sunrise Sangria, then another night, a Martini Flight. All were fantastic. We saw that there was a wine and bourbon flight as well, though we didn’t try it. For food we had the Lobster Risoto (absolutely delicious , the Firecracker Shrimp (my only regret is I can’t quit craving it , then also the Summer Vegetable Pasta, Cheese Curds and warm bread were delicious as well. The beautiful view that surrounds restaurant is breathtaking (day and night and really adds to the experience. Lastly, but most importantly, the service everyone was so friendly, skilled and professional It made our trip so enjoyable. Special shout outs to Dillon, Mia, Cade, Kaiden and Gage. You are the best! Also the male manager on Saturday and Sunday (sorry, the name slips! and manager Marissa who was also helpful accommodating us. Amazing! Thank you!

View is amazing! You can see the Iowa City Airport clearly.Food is good, no great. You pay for the atmosphere.Service is hit or mostly miss.Food: 2/5
