Bidrage med feedbackWe began our meal with calamari as an appetizer, followed by the classic burger accompanied by a Caesar salad, while my husband opted for the Caesar fries. Everything was freshly made and tasted delicious! Although the prices were somewhat high, the quality of the food and the pleasant atmosphere made it worthwhile.
As a longtime and enthusiastic supporter of this restaurant, I have to say that our experience tonight was quite disappointing and frankly, terrible. There were numerous issues, particularly with our food orders, which were either completely wrong or missing items altogether. While the food itself was decent, by the time it arrived, we had already lost our appetite and just accepted it. To make matters worse, we were charged double for some of our orders! We attempted to discuss the situation with the manager, but it was clear they didn't care at all. The server pointed fingers at the kitchen and management, while the managers placed blame on the server. It's a beautiful restaurant, but unfortunately, it lacks proper leadership and direction, which seems to be the reason they can't retain good staff. It's a shame, especially since we had one of the best meals there a few years ago when the new chef took over.
The evening got off to a rocky start when our drink order was overlooked, and it took nearly 15 minutes to catch someone’s attention to resolve it. When it came time to order food, things didn’t improve. One member of our group received the wrong dish; they ran out of all three steak options from the night before and instead brought out a pasta dish. Another person ordered a burger with bacon but received it without bacon. Lastly, a salad was delivered without the accompanying salmon. While most of the mistakes were corrected promptly, there were no apologies offered—only excuses. Overall, the food was mediocre for the prices we paid. The burgers were overcooked, and the salad was nearly devoid of dressing. At the end of our meal, when we asked for the bill, it included an extra burger and an additional drink that we hadn’t ordered. When we raised these issues with the manager, he brushed us off and didn’t offer any compensation or apology. The server attributed the billing errors to the system, and instead of anyone taking responsibility, we were met with excuses. I left feeling very disappointed due to the poor service and lackluster food at high prices. It’s a shame because the location is lovely, and I had a great experience here earlier in the year. Clearly, things have taken a significant turn for the worse.
Very rushed. We were seated at 6:30pm, ordered our drinks and food. Our starters came and whilst we were eating, our mains came out “because the kitchen wanted to close up for the night”. We then went on to have a dessert, paid and were out by 7:45pm. Not a relaxed romantic anniversary dinner that we had planned.
We stayed on site, so the location was great. Beautiful scenery overall. Our sever was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good, we even stayed for dessert, which we never do. We can't wait to go back.
