Black Forest Steak Schnitzel Haus

Don't waste your money and you will if you go here.Firstly, our male waiter had the personality of a wet noodle. The buns brought to the table was store bought. Definitely not baked in house. The little bit of salad we got was $12 and mediocre at best. Then came the big dissapointment.... the main course. The best thing about the food was the red cabbage. To bad you only get 2 tablespoons worth. The rest food was really disappointing. Portion sizes for sure does not reflect the exhorbant price you pay. The preparation of the food was very amateurish and presentation was bad. The best thing about the place is the ambiance.It was a lot of money for mediocre food and this place will definitely not see me again

I was in town on business and looking for a restaurant close to my hotelGlad I came in here. The food was amazing. From the Caesar salad to the Black Forest cakeI had the seafood at Jacque and it was cooked perfectly with so much flavor

This is a busy place, so don't show up without a reservation like I did! Wife and had the daily schnitzel 3 course special. Soup or salad to start, bread pudding for dessert. Schnitzel was topped with shrimp, mushrooms, and a house sauce. It was absolutely great, as was the red cabbage and potatoes. Mixed veggies a tad undercooked.

The food was amazing. I would eat here again and again. The only problem we had was that after we were done with our meals, it took 30 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. A few of us got the special that included desert. She came and gave us a dessert menu and said she only didn 't bring out our desserts because others may want desert... it was another 15 minutes when we had to get another servers attention. She sent over our server, and we told her that it was too late now and we needed to go. We had a 3 year old and a 6 year old with us... it was almost an hour after we finished eating our meals till we got our dessert.I dont know what was going on, but the service started off great, and then plumetted to one of the worst services I have ever had.With that said, if I come back to invermere, I will likely go back because the food was that good.
