Bidrage med feedbackPrices went up significantly. Food was good though. Would probably go more often if I didn't have to pay $40 for two dishes.
I would not recommend Thai Garden to my worst enemy, well, maybe my worst enemy, but not a regular one. The two stars I gave it were for the sweet waitress we had not the food! We ordered Spring Rolls to start, half pork and have vegetable. They were simply okay, not great! My husband ordered the lunch ribs. They gave him a rib and a half of fat. Again they were not great. I ordered the Pad Voon Sen with brown rice. It tasted okay, not bad, not great. The rice on the other hand was MILDEWY!!!!! I sent it back for a salad. My daughter ordered the Pad Thai. It was off in the taste. Another person came over to check on us (it wasn't our waitress), my daughter told her about the food and this person proceeded to argue her down and tell her it was a 30 year old recipe. The recipe may be 30 years old, but it tasted like it had been sitting for days. So she told them she wanted to trade it for what I had. The lady (again, not our waitress) got highly irritated and rude. She came slamming food back on the table and didn't say a word to us! When they brought the bill, both of my daughters meals were on the table. The not waitress had not told our waitress to take it off and were trying to chafe for something that was incredible! Our waitress took care of it and we tipped her nicely. We will not be back. Save your money, time, and frustration by going somewhere else.
Everything is watered down and without real depth or flavor. This is not traditional Thai food. Would not recommend or return. Update per the response from the owner: yes, I admit that I ordered soup without mushrooms as well as a vegetarian meal, but I’m not sure what this has to do with flavor or coconut milk being the prime ingredient in coconut soup…
Our family immediately fell in love with this restaurant. the food was authentic, delicious and the staff was very friendly. we enjoyed pad thai and mango sticky rice. the food reminded us of our last vacation in Thailand. we highly recommend this restaurant and we cannot wait for our next visit.
Thai garden is a cozy little restaurant that is there forever, I say that only because I remember having it as a super picky child and not like it 15 years ago! They moved to 5 points in 1993. 27 years in a location is quite good for a restaurant. Now that I am no more picky child and instead I am a great fan Thai food, it was just a question of time before I decided to try thai garden again. we had them for lunch on Friday, and we enjoyed eating them. carryout was easy and seamless eating ready 15 minutes after I cried, staff super friendly and polite. parking is a little difficult here because of the crowded nature of 5 points, so plan ahead or hope to get them happy. the inside of the restaurant is cozy when a little dim, and the people were very far apart from the tables. we had the pad sea ew with huh (my fave,) a Thai ice cream and the hot and acidic wings. Essentially, the hot and acidic wings were the best. It is an appetizer, no meal, so no huge portion, but the wings were very fleshy and the sosse struck a good balance between spicy and sweet acidic. the pad see ew was in order. not my favorite version of the teller in the city is the brown sauce not as tasteful as some other places. or maybe I wasn't enough, I'm not sure. a funny thing is that thai garden makes her with Chinese broccoli ball, so that the sweet are a little less bulky and slightly slimmer than broccoli Americans are used. I enjoyed the change of the tempos in this sight, but was really missing some of the aromes they get to other places. the Thai icy was delicious and could be my favorite restaurant thai tee in the opposite overall, while I would probably try a curry or something else next time, I go, and while that is not my absolute favorite thai joint in huntsville, for consistency and convenientity thai garden is a good option.
