Bidrage med feedbackRibs were great, fall off the bone, a lot of flavor, done right. They are not sticky sweet st louis style. Pulled pork was great, has a little fire to it. The slaw is good but different in this area, it's a mustard slaw, some places call it a jailhouse slaw. Personally I like it better than the over mayo'ed, sweet versions you find. And it has more flavor than the simple shredded cabbage, vinegar and sugar you find here abouts. If this gets back to Floyd's, you have FB, keep it up to date. The biggest challenge here was finding Floyd's open. The times posted are not regularly followed. I do see where Floyd's have posted before that they would be closed but it was many days they were closed and nothing was posted. Also, the menu, an updated one with your wings etc, should be posted on the back of the door. It would be easier to see by the people sitting in the drive thru line. (Note to new customers, you'll sit in line, but it's worth it) And, you've got great meats, might want to think about a fall winter special: brunswick stew and rib gumbo.....you'd knock it out of the park with those as well.
Waited in the drive-through line for over 20 minutes and didn't move forward an inch. Driveway littered with debris and broken glass (even the guy driving the Jeep got out and checked his tires), entry is poorly marked and hard to get out of if you change your mind.
This is the BEST barbecue in the city of Huntsville.Hands down best white sauce I ever had in my life. The ONLY white sauce I will eat. (I hate mayo).Forget the other spots. I will take a Floyds plate over any of ‘em. I usually get a half chicken, and a large rib plate. I am not a big veggie eater so my sides are fries or okra. The ribs are tender, flavorful, and smoked well. Sometimes they might just fall off the bone! I love the seasoning in their birds and that fact that its not dry! I never liked white sauce before I tried Floyds. Not from Gibson or anybody else. I could dunk a chicken and a rack of ribs in Floyd’s white sauce. I’ll drink a gallon. The customer service is always nice, no attitudes and they will come take your order while you are several cars back in line. Be prepared to sit in your car for about 10-15 minutes especially on Friday and Saturday.Pay in cash only or with a check. Get there between 12pm and 5pm or you might not get what you want they WILL sell out on you.I make better brisket at home on my grill and I am not a big fan of their mac n cheese. But I have ordered theirs when I didn’t want to wait.Restaurants that can’t hold a candle to Floyds: dreamland, full moon, teds, gibsons, lawlers….etc.Parking: Gas station parking lot. Its plenty of space to walk up or get in the drive thru lane.Wheelchair accessibility: Its a parking lot, roll up or stay in your car. The parking lot is not really marked so you could park close to the window and roll.
I am new to the Huntsville area and drove over 8 miles to try this barbecue ON Thursday, June 29, 2023...However, I was totally, totally disappointed. I was told that WE DON 'T HAVE ANY RIBS PREPARED YET, ... they should be ready in maybe an hour ...and it was already almost 1 o 'clock in the day!But the lady at the drive up window did say they had some BBQ chicken so I decided to give that a try. I order bbq chicken, broccoli and rice casserole (THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY POTATO SALAD EITHER)and green beans... Oh, my God, the whole thing was an awful experience. The chicken looked like somebody had boiled it a few days agothen threw it on the grill to heat it up. It was extremely dry and tasteless, the sauce was watery and more like a Chinese sweet and sour sauce (tasted vinegary), and it was just awful...uuugh!! The broccoli and cheese casserole was filled with noodles, mushy rice, very little broccoli and it was watery/runny. The green beans were tolerable, spiced up with hot sauce and onions. The quality of the food at Floyd 's doesn 't deserve one star, I was lookingn forward to eating some ribs and potato salad. So, I threw my purchase from Floyd 's BBQ in the garbage, and headed to Dreamland BBQ to order me some ribs, that saved the day for me.
