Cafe Rouge Hitchin

Visiting Café Rouge in Hitchin is always a good experience. Good food, great value and friendly efficient staff. I use this restaurant regularly and take friends who have never experienced it.

We had the twice baked soufflé, which was delightful, followed by excellent fillet steak. The service was good .

Despite advertising for two course meal £12.95, was told on arrival that it only applied to starters and mains and not mains and desserts. Charged £12.95 for a single course from this menu told Gourmet Society card giving discount not applicable because this is a special menu! Overcharged poor service

Cafe Touge is a favourite venue for us either to eat as a couple or to meet/invite friends too. Always excellent welcome and service

The lunch was enjoyable. The service seemed disinterested. The atmosphere was relaxed.
