Harlington Tandoori - Hillingdon

Dropped in tonight for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Staying at a hotel close by. First place I stopped into was out of food. So happy they were. Had a delicious meal here. Had an Indian green curry so fresh and perfect spice. Came with a perfectly cooked naan. Would definitely go back.

This place is genuinely surprising. looks ordinary from the outside. but you walk in, and clue number 1: they're not playing faux Indian classical sitar music, it's a mixture of bhangra and grime. clue number 2: the menu is LONG and has an indo chinese section (I've only normally seen the latter in India, don't know if you get it many other places). Gobi 65 from the indo chinese section is the ticket like various things in Chinese cuisine eg 咕噜肉 except it's cauliflower (obvs) and done with mostly S Asian spices. clearly has a pretty dedicated local clientele, but also helps that you can walk there from the north side of heathrow airport's perimeter (Bath Road, where lots of hotels are). hayes harlington has a pretty large British Asian Desi population and if you can get your local customers to keep coming back ... you must be doing something right.

Amazing authentic Indian food. Not a scaled down taste.Very well behaved staff , perfect cosy ambience. But above all no competition with the taste of food.

I was in Harlington last night and called in. We were ignored until I stood up and called over. It was bizarre that we were the only two in the place, apart from a load of local lads chatting but not customers. How it stays in business, I'll NEVER know !!
