Restaurant Waterkant - Hamburg

This is a great restaurant in first floor of hotel overlooking the river in St Pauli. Nice vibe with clean modern lines, subdued lighting and open kitchen. Fish featured strongly on the menu but there is a good range of options including vegetarian. Nice wine list at medium/top end of pricing. Staff are great and the ambience is professional, relaxed and attentive,

Had a 3 course-menu with wines at 80 Euro. Order two menus even if you are a light eater like me: food servings are microscopic and wine servings cheap. Quality is OK but not outstanding. It will be easy to find much more value for that kind of money somewhere else.

The best fish in Hamburg! Speciality, you choose the fresh fish, can observe directly during submission and it is presented before and after roasting. A real experience! The service and the atmosphere are really unbeatable! The part is really big thanks to the delicious various supplements that are served to the fish and you get very rich!
