Samarkand - Hamburg

The food is excellent and cheap (10€). the portions are huge: they will not go hungry! not to forget the great personal, very friendly and uncomplicated. it is impossible to go unhappy. this restaurant is a hidden gem! !

This is our standard place for dinner when we are in the neighbourhood. good food ( rice and spinach are recommended) good value for money, portions are large, friendly staff. the service can sometimes be slow, but with a glass beer everything disappears. they can get very sharp food if they ask for it.

When they are hungry with a small budget, they come here and ask them for grill plate and mangolasie. they spend less than €10 and can most likely not eat the meat!

Outside: Central Asian cuisine. Therefore, you can expect exotic food from countries along the Silk Road. in no case. their specificity is the same boring eating that they can find in every German bistro. I had a moderate vegetarian hamburger with pommes. the prices are in order.

The Samarkand Bisto is much better than it might look from the outside, when you quickly pass by. For a very reasonable price, you get good quality food in a large amount. You're better hungry, when you go there. Also most of the dishes contain...meat, so it's not the best place for a vegetarian. Everything we had so far here, tasted very well. The I guess owner is friendly and funny too. Last time we had several free (alcholic) drinks.
